Abstract: Abstract of thesis entitled Web-Based Intelligent Decision Friends for Intensification of Sleek Process Plan Submitted by Ngai Ka Kui For the range of Master of Philosophy At the Educational institution of Hong Kong In August 2007 Abstract Sleek process adds considerable values to many products manufactured by Hong Kong. At present, the determination of sleek trait color is often a subjective process that does not optimize the alliance between trait, appraisal added, and production prices. There is a lack of scientific threaten to represent and implement an analysis of product and process to sleek and other manufacturing. This often results in products of inferior trait and a failure to i exploit new materials, products and equipment. The where one is heading of this research is to investigate a web-based intelligent decision friends through innovative uses of sleek computer. This research first creates an important inside story stay of sleek physiognomies, their associated trait levels and process parameters through experiments and enclosure reveries within a collaborating company. This inside story stay is used to establish a systematic and scientific reference structure for specifying sleek trait levels, engrossments and physiognomies. It achieves its functions to facilitate an information classification based on product-oriented machinery, and to back the inside story sharing within the company. From a inside story management perspective, it pile of brick the valuable sleek information collected for retrieval and restate. A proposed Web Based Way in System (WBPS) is then developed to implement process plan that aims to streamline sleek product and process. This web demand system presents an on-line intelligent back for determining the most suitable configuration for sleek operations on justification of purchaser engrossments on sleek trait levels and past sleek projects of the sleek company. The system comprises of four members to perform complex functions. It provides a web structure as a intermediary to allow sharing, plan and configuration of structured sleek information. ii Thirdly, Case Based Process Plan (CBPP) model is developed to gain a fundamental understanding of sleek processes and to optimize sleek process strategies that are delivered as a decision back. CBPP incorporates the concepts of Case Based Reasoning (CBR) and Fuzzy Set Systemization (FST) for addressing an automatic process plan. It is capable of inferring leader process parameters for a new sleek problem. Moreover, various mathematical programming molds are employed to back the intensification calculation of process specification frames. Finally, numerical data of nine cooker examines from the collaborating company were collected for model demonstration. One cooker case was treated as a problem case, while leaving were treated as stored case in case-stay. Detailed analysis was taken in four parts. Based on product structure of problem case and sleek trait levels requested by users, a case among the stored cases is retrieved. The retrieved case then takes to reasoning point in time, where correlations of its process parameters to trait levels are computed. Process parameters of retrieved case are adapted, where a recommended sleek result is generated. The generated result is vane.
